Welcome to the BeltLine forum regarding transit and density. As you likely know, public engagement – the public’s hands-on involvement in shaping Atlanta’s future via the Beltline – is at the heart of the BeltLine initiative. Engagement takes many forms from education to planning.

The parameters of the formal, legislatively-mandated engagement of the public that leads specifically to implementation plans for the BeltLine can be found at www.beltline.org. That process does not yet include engagement via digital media, but we are interested in learning how to best use on-line tools to further engage the public.

This forum is one way in which we will be able to learn the challenges and opportunities in doing so. So we encourage you to participate in a thoughtful, passionate, civil dialogue. Please understand that we are listening and will respond as appropriate, but what is shared here will not be formally, directly incorporated into the planning process. So we encourage you to participate in that process’s public meetings, too. (A schedule of those meetings is always posted at www.beltline.org.)
